What e-maxy does
e-maxy helps you triage and sort Gmail messages by sender. After you sign in with Google, the app lists new messages under a Triage label and applies per-sender rules you create to file future mail.
Data we access
With your consent, the app accesses Gmail messages and labels via the Google
Gmail API, using only the scopes
gmail.modify and gmail.settings.basic:
- gmail.modify — read message metadata and content needed for the triage list, apply and remove labels (triage, target labels), and archive messages when one of your rules requests it.
- gmail.settings.basic — create and verify the Triage label and the inbox filter that routes new mail into triage, and repair them if deleted.
The app also receives basic profile information (name, email address) from Google sign-in to identify your account.
How we use data
- Display triaged messages (sender, subject, date, snippet) so you can sort them.
- Store per-sender sorting rules you create and apply them to future mail.
- Store OAuth tokens securely to keep Gmail access working between sessions.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your Gmail data for advertising.
Data retention and deletion
Sender rules and sync state are stored while your account is active. You can delete individual rules in the app at any time (this never deletes Gmail labels). To delete all your data, disconnect your Google account and contact the operator; stored tokens, rules, and sync state will be removed.
Test-mode pilot
e-maxy currently runs as a Google Testing-mode pilot limited to at most 100 allowlisted users. Refresh tokens expire after about a week, so weekly re-consent is expected behavior: the app shows a notice and offers a one-click reconnect.
